The Provider reserves the right to review the log file at a later date if there is reasonable suspicion of unlawful use due to concrete indications.
COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL DATA
Personal data will only be collected and used if permitted by law or the User consents to the Provider collecting data. In general, it is clear to the User when using the service what data are stored, such as name, email address and message when using the order form.
The personal information specified for the purpose of ordering goods (such as name, email address, address, payment data) are used by the seller for the processing of the contract. These data will be kept confidential, encrypted and not available to third parties who are not involved in the ordering, delivery and payment procedures.
When contacting the Provider (via contact form or by email), the User’s information is stored for the purpose of processing the request and in the event that follow-up questions arise. The Provider has taken organizational, contractual and technological security measures to ensure that the rules of data protection laws are respected, and accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons is prevented.
DATA FORWARDING TO THIRD PARTIES
The User data will only be passed on to third parties if this is legally permitted or if a User has consented to the forwarding.
This is, for instance, the case if the transfer of data is for the fulfilment of contractual obligations towards the User and the mailing address is passed to the shipping company after a shop order. Or, if the data are requested from the relevant bodies such as law enforcement agencies.
The personal data of Users are not sold or shared for advertising purposes or to third parties for the purpose of creation of User profiles.
The Provider uses “cookies” as a part of its online offer. Cookies are small files that are stored on the User’s computer and can store information for providers. Temporary cookies are deleted after you close your browser, and permanent cookies remain for a predetermined period of time and can provide the stored information at the reopening of the online offer. Cookies are used on the one hand to make it easier to use the service. A cookie stores the basket status of a User.
INFORMATION DELIVERY VIA NEWSLETTER
Emails with commercial information about the Provider and their services are only sent with explicit user consent. The User can object to receiving the newsletter at any time. An option to unsubscribe is provided in each email.
Before sending the newsletter to the email owner, a confirmation email is sent in which they will have to confirm the newsletter subscription. Unconfirmed registrations are automatically deleted at the latest within four weeks. Messages in the context of the contractual relationship with the user are not included as advertising information. This includes the delivery of technical information, information about the payment, inquiries about orders and similar messages.
Users can subsequently apply for removal from the list of notifications by email at the above contact details. As part of the application, the Provider stores the application and the confirmation time and the IP address of the User. The Provider is obliged by law to monitor the applications, in order to verify proper registration.
The Provider uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, text files that are stored on Users’ computers and allow an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about use of this website by Users are usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
In case of activation of the IP anonymisation on this website, the IP address of Users of Google will be truncated within Member States of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP-anonymisation is active on this website. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate the use of the site by users, to compile reports on website activity and provide other websites and internet related services to the website operator.
USE OF FACEBOOK SOCIAL PLUGINS
In this online offer, social plugins (“Plugins”) are used from the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). The plugins are identifiable by a Facebook logo (white “f” on a blue tile or a “thumbs up” sign) or are marked with the word “Facebook Social Plugin”. The list and the look of Facebook Social Plugins can be viewed here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.
When a User visits a web page of this online offer, which contains such a plugin, its browser creates a direct connection to the servers of Facebook. The content of the plugin is transferred from Facebook directly to the User’s browser, which integrates the browser into the website. The Provider therefore has no influence on the amount of data that Facebook lifts using this plugin and therefore informs the Users accordingly: By integrating the plugin, Facebook receives the information that a user has accessed the corresponding page of the online offer.
If the user is logged into Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit to their Facebook account. When a User interacts with the plugins, for example, by pressing the Like button or by commenting, the corresponding information from your browser is sent directly to Facebook and stored there. If a User is not a member of Facebook, there is still the possibility that Facebook finds out the IP address and stores it. According to Facebook, in Germany only an anonymous IP address is stored.
The purpose and scope of data collection and further processing and use of data by Facebook, together with their rights and ways to protect the privacy of users, can be referred in the Facebook privacy policies: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.
If a User is a Facebook member and does not want Facebook to collect data about them via this online offer and link to their stored member data on Facebook, they must log out from Facebook before visiting the website and delete the corresponding Facebook cookies. It is also possible to block Facebook social plugins by using add-ons for the browser, for example with the “Facebook Blocker”.
